Triumph Mtb
Could just be the most affordable Triumph

Triumph Motorcycles never fails to surprise us whenever there is a new launch and this time it was an all-new hardtail mountain bike. No, it is not a motorcycle, and it's not even an e-bike. But is all powered by proteins, fats, and carbohydrates.
Why are they making one? Maybe they just got bored of churning winning combinations of modern-retro motorcycles under their Bonneville banner and thought of having a new challenge to conquer.
And with their Tiger series also ruling the adventure world, they have opted to rule the mountains now with this all-terrain XCX Mountain Bike and will be making a limited run of just 500 units.
Triumph isn't the only motorcycle brand that now has a pedal-powered bike made. BMW, KTM, and Ducati have also had one in the past and so have four-wheeled counterparts like Bugatti, Ferrari, Porsche, and probably every other high-end brand.
Using components from an assortment of brands here, the 2018 XCX Mountain Bike is basically built around a lightweight 6061 aluminum frame that comes in three different sizes: 15", 17" and 19". All cables and hoses run internally except for the front disc braking unit to depict a clean and posh design.
The stealth matte black and silver livery with red detailing adorns the entire bike including the Triumph branded Velo lock-on grips, sporty WTB Volt Race saddle and the walls of the steel spoked Alex AJ2 wheels, which wraps around 27.5" Kenda Slant 6 tires.
While the suspension duties on the XCX is handled by race-proven Rockshox XC30 suspension forks at the front with 100mm of travel, braking units are provided by Shimano that utilizes M315 hydraulic calipers front and rear with 180/160mm discs.
The powertrain on this bike has no pistons or cylinders but is made up of new Shimano M7000 SLX 11 speed drivetrain along with the new Shadow RD SLX 11 speed derailleur. You also get a RAPIDFIRE Plus shift lever that comes with an integrated gear indicator as well.
Although I cannot for sure make a hue of comments on these components, I can assure you of them being of high graded quality and top-spec allowing this Triumph to course the roughest terrains without having to break a sweat.
Luckily for me, I can now probably afford a Triumph. Provided they don't drop a bomb on that too post customs and tax. UK pricing is set at £800 including VAT. That is around a $1,000 in US currency and will be available on UK showroom floors in January 2018.
